Lips usually fail to receive attention. How many times have you thought about your lips? Unless you have to go on a date and your lipstick is stuck between the cracks. We almost always forget to moisturize our lips till they don’t feel chapped.
Banish dry winters chapped lips for good with Kiehl’s lip balm #1.
Here’s our take on this little tube.
It’s formulated with Squalanea, which is a signature Kiehl’s ingredient that helps restore skin’s natural moisture barrier to keep it extra soft and supple; and vitamin E, which helps neutralize skin-damaging free radicals and has soothing moisturizing properties.
The initial effect is pretty much the same as any other lip balm, imparting a natural glossy shine and a slippy feeling. What makes this product stand out is the amount of moisture it injects into the lips within a short period of time. Left on, it eventually sinks in after about an hour or so, but when wiped off after fifteen minutes, it leaves the lips feeling beautifully soft and ready for lipstick. Which makes it a perfect product to apply before you start work on your face, leave on while you apply your makeup, and then remove just before applying lipliner/lipstick/gloss.
Resh loves the scented version as she is a huge fan of mango smell. But we are happy that the range also has an unscented version for those (people like Sonal) who cannot tolerate fragranced products. Although, the smell lasts for the first 10-15 seconds and it fades away completely afterwards.
This lip balm has a very liquid consistency so be careful every time you squeeze a tube as you don’t want to end up wasting this expensive product. Unfortunately, it has no applicator so you have to use your hands. Wash your hands before and after – for hygiene.
Kiehl’s has already become my must-have lip balm and I use it every single day. I am pretty happy with the results and I do really enjoy it.
All of these characteristics make this a real standout among lip balms. It has a permanent spot in my handbag.
Well, maybe not permanent. But definitely until the end of the season or whenever a new lip-balm obsession starts-whichever comes first.
Have you ever used Kiehl’s lip balm? What do you think of it?
